ParkCity Year-End Light Festival
Mariah Carey is officially defrosting, and KL folks are getting ready to jingle all the way. Here to help launch us further into the Christmas season is The Waterfront, Desa ParkCity’s annual Christmas light-up event.
Held this year from 28th November until 4th January 2026, the free-entry ParkCity Year-End Light Festival welcomes visitors to revel in the glow of thousands of twinkling lights, festive installations, and a Christmas market. You’ll walk away with plenty of snaps that’ll make your social media uploads shine brighter than Santa’s sleigh.
A light-up festival with eight luminous zones

Prepare to be dazzled by magical festive lights on a lake and in a garden at The Waterfront, Desa ParkCity. The sprawling Central Park here has been adorned with glowing trees and blooms in nature, along with illuminated butterflies gracefully gliding across the lake.

Visitors can take pictures at eight luminous zones at the festival, including a Bamboo Grove with glistening arches and the Midnight Garden, which features even more festive lights sprinkled across a lawn.

Take the time to explore the entire space, as there are other dazzling installations along the park’s pathway, like the Fairy Oak, which has lights cascading from a tree.

A special snowfall event also takes place here on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival period, every hour between 7.30pm and 10pm.
The festival opens daily from 3pm to 11pm, giving visitors plenty of time to explore the glowing installations at their own pace. And the best part is that admission is free.
Even more family-friendly fun and photo ops await at the charming European-inspired Christmas market at The Waterfront, which has traditional garlands, Christmas wreath displays, and arches.
How to get to Desa ParkCity?
If you’re travelling from KL, getting to Desa ParkCity is a breeze. By car, it is about a 20-minute drive from the city centre via the DUKE highway or Jalan Kepong, with ample parking available at The Waterfront.
If you are using public transport, alight at MRT Sri Damansara Sentral and then hop on the T109 feeder bus to Desa ParkCity. You can also alight at KTMB Kepong Central Station and then complete the journey to Desa ParkCity by e-hailing ride.
Once you arrive, simply follow the signs to The Waterfront, Desa ParkCity, and towards Central Park. The main light installations are scattered throughout, so take your time wandering and discovering each sparkling corner.
