GSC Has A Retro Pink Cinema With A Cafe In KL, Cinephiles Can Relive The ’60s At Its Aesthetic Lounge & Foyer

GSC at LaLaport BBCC

Watching movies is an exciting way to step into a world of wonders – it’s a plus when we get to watch them on the big screen. While we can easily find a cinema in our neighbourhoods, there’s a new ‘60s-inspired GSC outlet in Kuala Lumpur that has an in-house cafe and plenty of photo-worthy corners.

Here’s what you can find at the new outlet:

A retro-themed cinema in the heart of KL

Located at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), this IG-worthy GSC outlet opened on 1st August 2023.

And it’s no ordinary outlet.

GSC LaLaport BBCC boasts an aesthetic retro interior, with pastel pink and baby blue hues. Almost everything here, from the food counters to walkways, feature glam-gold and pretty-pink accents that’ll make you feel as if you’ve stepped into a movie set – think Barbie

There’s also a picturesque lounge area with swing chairs and cosy booth seats – so even if you arrive way too early before your movie hall opens, you can snap pics or just chill comfortably with your bestie or date here.

New movie halls & an in-house cafe

Movie buffs will be glad to know that GSC LaLaport BBCC boasts a total of 12 halls, including BIG and 4DX halls.

For the uninitiated, BIG halls feature massive 20-metre wide and 10.8-metre high screens, as well as 4K laser projectors and Dolby Atmos surround sound systems. Whereas, 4DX halls have motion seats and environmental controls so movie-goers can fully immerse themselves in the film.

Besides just munching on popcorn and slurping up fizzy sodas, the new GSC outlet also has an in-house cafe, Happy Food Co., where you can enjoy heartier meals.

The tropical-themed cafe serves a selection of snacks and IG-worthy milkshakes that you can have before or after catching a movie.
