Immersify KL at BBCC, KL
Experiential art shows have become a hit in Malaysia in post-pandemic times. While many have popped up and since left their venues, a new digital art space opening soon in KL ensures we’ll always have a spot to feast our eyes on immersive art: Immersify KL.
The new large-scale immersive exhibition space will comprise 11 digital art zones – think Malaysia’s very own teamLabs permanent exhibition. Here’s everything to know about it, as it is set to welcome excited crowds on 28th February 2025.
What to expect at Immersify KL
The Labs is an entertainment hub at Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), which formerly went by the name Malaysia Grand Bazaar. It’s situated next to LaLaport BBCC, housing concert venue Zepp Kuala Lumpur, a retro-inspired GSC, and soon, the digital art gallery Immersify KL.

The new art space at The Labs is spearheaded by the South Korean creative group, Bitgrim Immersify Group, which boasts immersive media displays such as projection mapping and interactive installations in their repertoire.

They’ll now bring their mind-bending, multisensory installations popular in Japan and Korea to KL. On the group’s website, they’ve teased 11 themed zones in a 30,000sqft space, and also Malaysia’s first 360-degree projection space with 12m-tall ceilings – about 2 storeys – so you can expect to be fully swept away by infinitely Instagrammable scenes here.
11 themes and a cafe
Some themes to look out for include Neon Jungle, where you can see projections of regional wildlife in a burst of fluorescent colour; Surreal World, a reality-defying 360-degree zone; and Moonlight Memories, which transports you to an otherworldly space that blends the celestial and terrestrial.
For art appreciators, the Art Gallery will be one that you want to beeline to – the masterpieces of Van Gogh, Monet, and Klimt will come alive in a brilliant display, spanning the floor to walls.
All of these zones will incorporate installations, 3D spatial sound, and quality visuals to create a spell-binding visual feast for gallery-goers.

A cafe, mm Café, is set to open at the digital art gallery too, so visitors can fuel up on grub after earning their museum legs badge.
