1. The Exchange TRX

The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur’s latest skyscraper is gearing up for the new year with a spectacular pyrotechnic show with all the works ranging from live music performances to midnight grubs.
Boasting as a green lung in KL’s concrete jungle, the Raintree Plaza will be serving as the centre of the New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

In anticipation of TRX’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show, visitors can expect hourly music performances every hour starting at 8pm till the big countdown. If you’re looking for a bite to eat, food trucks will also be lined up at the plaza, so you won’t miss the fireworks display.

2. KLCC Park

For most city-folk, they would tell you that KLCC Park is the place to watch the fireworks for New Year’s Eve as it is conveniently located beneath the Petronas Twin Towers. For decades, the park has been packed with people that come to watch Kuala Lumpur light up in colourful pyrotechnics.

For this year, KLCC is taking things up a notch with live musical performances by various artists. You can expect local acts like SonaOne, Misha Omar, and Malaysian boy group, Alpha to keep the crowd hyped up as the countdown gets closer.

3. LaLaport BBCC

One of Bukit Bintang’s most hip malls, LaLaport BBCC is ringing in the new year on its spacious rooftop garden with fun-filled activities such as workshops and food bazaars that’ll keep you awake throughout the countdown.

Accompanying the countdown party are live music performances by DJs and a balloon party to really rein in the New Year firework displays at the venue.

4. Genting Resorts

Malaysia’s popular highland getaway is inviting the new year with a lively New Year’s Eve party.
The Arena of Stars at Resorts World Genting will host the celebration with live music, dance performances, and electrifying entertainment.
The highlight of the New Year’s Eve event is a headline set by Singaporean DJ Wukong, known for his intense, festival-style mixes, culminating in the countdown and continuing into an after-party in the early hours of the new year.

5. KL Tower

You can skip the crowds and view the fireworks overlooking the city skyline atop one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks.
Malaysia’s highest fireworks display is at KL Tower’s New Year’s Eve Celebration, during which you can watch fireworks go off from the tower itself. The tickets include admissions to different parts of the tower.

Midnight fireworks with performances

For the true blue revellers, you can consider Sunway Velocity Mall to ring in the New Year as the mall’s New Year’s Eve event will include live music from a lineup of local A-list acts, a food market, as well as the midnight fireworks show.
The event starts at 4pm, opening at The ROWS Market, followed by a K-pop dance challenge at 7pm. From 9:30pm, DJ Blink provides remix sets, alongside performances by KIIRAS, Annabella, MASDO, and Layla Sania, with another DJ set at 11:55pm leading into the midnight fireworks.
