Orito Bread & Patisserie
There’s something comforting about a pastry shared over good conversation or savoured solo in peaceful bliss. Luckily for us, KL has a solid lineup of spots for these indulgences, including Orito Bread and Patisserie. Whether it’s the classic Paris-Brest or a puffed bomboloni, this bakery has been satisfying Klang Valley folks with quality handcrafted bakes since 2020.
This May, they’ve launched a collection of new creations, including a series of French-inspired flans that cup fillings like chocolate hazelnut and mixed berries in a signature crisp puff pastry.
The classics and the new flans
Orito has since expanded from its OG spot in Sri Hartamas with two other outlets in TTDI and KLCC. Helmed by a chemical engineer turned Le Cordon Bleu graduate, the bakery has stayed true to its made fresh, never reheated philosophy.
Their signature is the Paris-Brest (RM25), a classic French dessert featuring a light, airy choux pastry ring filled with praline mousseline cream made from roasted hazelnuts and almonds.
The pastry is delicately crisp on the outside, with a rich, nutty filling that’s smooth and just sweet enough. Dusted with icing sugar and scattered with flaked almonds, it’s a showstopper.

Added to the menu is the Chocolate Hazelnut Flan (RM19) that’s dangerously moreish. Fresh out of the oven, this pastry simply melts in the mouth, offering a delicate hint of hazelnut that’s perfectly balanced – not too sweet, just right.
The Mixed Berries (RM19) variation delivers on the natural sweetness and slight tartness of berries, all nestled in a delicate pastry shell. It’s finished with a glossy mixed berry glaze that’s as stunning as it is satisfying.
Another new addition, the French Egg Tart (RM12), is a refined twist on a beloved classic that centres around a silky, custard-like filling made from rich eggs and cream, delicately baked until just set. Encased in a crisp shortcrust pastry, it offers a lightly sweet filling with a whisper of vanilla – a simple yet indulgent treat that pairs perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee.
