You Can “Chop” Postcards With Free Stamp Collectables Of Malaysian States At 14 Post Offices Till 2027

Free stamp rally at Pos Malaysia offices nationwide

With plenty to do across Malaysia, you’re bound to stop by one or more states while travelling, whether as a local or a tourist. While packing your holiday essentials for the trip, plan to bring along a postcard or your journal, too. You can collect free stamp collectables of 13 Malaysian states and 3 Federal Territories at selected Pos Malaysia offices nationwide – consider it a wallet-friendly souvenir as you’re embarking on a tour of Malaysia.

What are the special stamps for?

If there’s any reason to tour all states in Malaysia, the newly rolled out collectable stamps from Pos Malaysia‘s collaboration with Visit Malaysia 2026 will be a good excuse, especially for stamp hunters and philatelists.

The collaboration officially launched during the reopening of the old General Post Office in the Sultan Abdul Samad Building in Kuala Lumpur, with a line-up of collectable stamps and a stamp rally across Malaysian states and Federal Territories announced for locals and travellers.

Finding the free stamp rally at Pejabat Pos Malaysia

To celebrate the beauty of local states, the stamp rally lets you collect stamps featuring iconic cultural symbols associated with each state, such as the Wau Bulan for Kelantan, the Rhinoceros Hornbill for Sarawak, and the Mouse Deer, locally known as Kancil, for Melaka.

Malaysians can ink journals and postcards with the chops from 13 General Post Offices in each state, and Pejabat Pos Kangar in Perlis. Do note that you would have to travel to each state’s General Post Office to obtain the state’s designated chop. Consider it a fun stamp rally you can complete on your own time, since the rubber stamp stations will be around until the end of 2027.

Philatelists can also buy a complete commemorative folder set (RM62.50), which includes two se-tenant stamp sets, a miniature sheet, first-day covers, postcards, and a commemorative folder.

If you still have a stamp album in your collection, there’s also a stamp set that features an assortment of stamps featuring the most famous sites, symbols, and natural wonders in Malaysia, such as Langkawi Island, Penang Hill, Cameron Highlands, A Famosa, Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, and the Petronas Twin Towers.

The stamps even have special detailing engraved into their design, such as die-cut elements, heart-shaped perforations on the miniature sheet, and spot UV finishing to increase their collectability.

The collection is available to purchase at 90 philatelic bureaus nationwide and selected post offices. Here’s the breakdown of where you can obtain it in each state:
