Zoo Negara Offers Free Tickets For Kids To Celebrate Children’s Day, Just Walk In To Claim

Zoo Negara offers free tickets for Children’s Day

Families with kiddos will want to plan a day out at our national zoo this November – specifically on 22nd and 23rd November 2025. On these days, Zoo Negara is offering free admission for children aged 3 to 12.

Why is Zoo Negara offering free tickets?

In a Facebook post, Zoo Negara shared that they are allowing kiddos to come meet their animals for free on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd November, just for World Children’s Day, which officially falls on 20th November.

The zoo, which opened back in 1963, houses over 300 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish – so come prepared to spend the morning and afternoon exploring the zoo with the young’uns who’ll get to enter for free.

How to get tickets?

Parents and guardians looking to claim free tickets for their children must meet a few conditions.

Tickets are available exclusively to Malaysian citizens and must be redeemed as walk-in visitors, so it’s best to arrive early to skip the potential queues and maximise your time at the zoo.

There’s no ticket redemption limit for this. Families will just need to bring each child’s original MyKid for verification at the ticket counter, and fork out RM38 for every MyKad holder.

Zoo Negara’s regular admission prices for children outside of this celebration are RM15.29 for Malaysian children aged 3-12. Children under 3 years old can enjoy free admission year-round.

The upcoming cuti sekolah isn’t until December, so here’s a small win for families looking to plan outings with their kiddos on the weekends. It’s a chance to get off the screen and have fun outdoors with animals.
