Andd Moments Studio in Petaling Street
While selfie photo booths are not hard to come by in Klang Valley in recent days, it’s harder to find a spot with custom keychain charms that turn photo strips into a bag accessory.
Cue Andd Moments Studio. This camera shop in Petaling Street features a high-angle photo booth that allows you to turn photo strips into keychains and lockets, as well as large newspaper-style prints.
What is Andd Moments Studio?
Andd Moments Studio is a camera shop in downtown Kuala Lumpur, with glass cabinets holding film rolls, Kodak cameras, Nikon film cameras, and digicams from the early 2000s.
Beyond camera gear and accessories, this spot has three photo booths that have become popular among locals and tourists looking to strike their best pose and bring home the snaps in prints and as trinkets.
Three styles of photo booths
You’re in full control of the photo booths at Andd Moments Studio. There are no props or accessories here, just stools if you’re the fun-sized friend in your group, but you’ll have the option to turn your photo prints into unique keychains and cute lockets.
The first photo booth you’ll see at the studio is the high-angled one, which stays open even when the shop closes on Tuesdays, as it’s located outside the shop. This booth is great for those OOTD poses, and also groups, as the high camera angle captures a bit more surroundings compared to the standard angle.
Depending on the photo frame, you’ll have to fork out between RM15 and RM25 for two prints.
Inside the shop, there are two other booths to take photos at. There’s the normal angle, with a camera angled straight ahead, and two prints for RM10 that come with added frames and filters.
The other photo booth develops newspaper-style prints. If you want something a little different, this one lets you strike your pose and then choose the best ones to go into frames on a newspaper template.
You can choose to get the full A4-sized thick paper or a compact A5-sized photo print paper, for RM10.
All the photo booths accept cash only. If you don’t have cash with you, you can utilise QR payment to get cash from the shop.
Memories into small trinkets
Other than the typical photo strips, Andd Moments Studio can turn your prints into keychains and lockets.
For RM30, you can get two keychains of your chosen photo strip. After taking your pictures at a photo booth, bring your photo strip to the counter and ask for the keychain option. After payment, you’ll have to wait 15-20 minutes for your keychain to be made.
There’s also the option to turn your prints into a coquette metal locket, in heart or round shapes. You can get two lockets for RM50, so your friend or significant other can keep a matching pendant to hang on their bag, too.
How to get to Andd Moments Studio
Andd Moments Studio is just a 10-minute walk from Pasar Seni MRT station, and near REXKL. It’s located on the top floor of a corner shop, above NinjaVan and a dental clinic.
Once you’re at the building, you’ll have to take off your shoes and carry them with you to the studio.
