It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Malaysia, as the best part of the holiday season has arrived: festive holiday decorations that are lighting up our local shopping malls with twinkling lights and festive shades.
While we have rainy days in place of snowy ones that we see in Hallmark movies, you can still feel like you’re part of the Christmas fun at these shopping malls listed below that have the best Christmas decor in Klang Valley.

1. Bangsar Shopping Centre
A nostalgic Christmas home

Bangsar Shopping Centre’s Christmas display for 2025 brings to mind Kevin’s festively-decked house from Home Alone, but without the intruders, of course.

Meant to create a nostalgic Christmas setting for shoppers, the display has all the fittings of a festive home. Take the time to explore the entire space, starting from the charming entryway with twinkly lights all around, up the wreath-wrapped stairs, and into a dining room and living room dressed in Christmas reds and greens.

2. The Gardens Mall
An elegant garden setting

Those romantic garden settings you see in Regency films and shows like Bridgerton? It’s been brought to life at The Gardens Mall. This Christmas season, the KL mall has transformed into an elegant estate garden with an enchanting Joyeux Noël theme.

There are twinkling arches to stroll under, delicate rose bushes overhead, and romantic garden features such as classical pillars and benches around. You’ll feel like the main character of a period drama here, for sure.

3. Suria KLCC
An outdoor skating rink

KL’s landmark Suria KLCC has brought back its record-winning, 80-foot-tall Christmas tree that sparkles nightly with the Petronas Twin Towers as a backdrop. It’s the largest Christmas tree replica in Malaysia, as recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records.
This year, the mall goes all out with the addition of an outdoor roller skating rink around the majestic tree, bringing a slice of New York’s The Rink at Rockefeller Center to KL. Not just for show, shoppers who spend RM500 in a single receipt at the mall can go roller skating daily, until 25th December.

Inside, the mall is spruced up for its Majestic Christmas village, with glamorous gold-and-white trees and a massive bauble-like structure that you can walk through for photos.

4. Berjaya Times Square
A fairytale Christmas display

It’s forest fairytale vibes at Berjaya Times Square. The mall’s decorations this year stand out with their enchanting forest-like setting. There’s the centrepiece Christmas tree with fluttering illuminated butterflies, and photo zones like a camping tent with benches inside and a pair of cuddling foxes outside.

You can also stroll across a wooden bridge, with birch-like trees overhead and even more fluttering butterflies and peeking owls.

5. Hextar World Empire City
An indoor festive tram

Hextar World Empire City may have just welcomed shoppers, but the Christmas spectacle that it opened with has our attention. Larger-than-life wreaths and ribbons hang from the PJ mall’s ceilings – it’s over-the-top fun at its finest.

There’s also a festively-decked tram that travels through the mall at the following times: 10.30am-4pm and 5.30pm-9.30pm on weekdays, and 10.30am-4.30pm and 7pm-9.45pm on weekends.
For more festive fun, catch the High Street Musical Parade with a marching band that takes place at 5.30pm on the weekends.

6. Sunway Pyramid

Sunway Pyramid’s aptly-named Cozy Cozy Christmas display is not just for the kiddos. The mall welcomes everyone to snuggle into the season with uniquely textured Christmas trees and fluffy baubles in glowing greens and perky pinks. It’s basically plushies of Christmas trees and decor, but oversized.

Right beside the centrepiece 40ft snuggly tree is Sunway Pyramid’s mascot Leo, rising tall at 15ft and looking just as plush as the surrounding installations. There’s also a ball pit for the kiddos to jump into.

7. The Exchange TRX

The photo ops for Christmas at The Exchange TRX start at its glam Twirl Into Wonderland display at the mall’s Central Exchange. Here, a jaw-dropping golden carousel and twinkling, floral-decked Christmas trees will make you stop in your tracks even while you’re busy shopping.

Once you’ve taken all the snaps here, head to the mall’s MRT Plaza for even more photos. There’s an outdoor POP MART Christmas tree decorated with the brand’s popular characters like Labubu and Dimoo, and also bauble character photo zones.

8. IOI Mall Damansara
Floating Christmas trees with teddy bears

IOI Mall Damansara takes its White Magical Christmas decor to the next level – literally. It features dazzling art-inspired trees made from stainless steel bars that hover from above and appear to ‘float’.

Look a little closer, and you’ll be reminded of the spirit of Christmas with the installation, which was done in collaboration with local artist Kai Yi Wong, or Unreality Kai. Each tree has been adorned with cuddly teddy bears and cascading “tinsel” that spell out the wishes of 101 children from four orphanage homes, which have been fulfilled by the mall.

9. Pavilion Bukit Jalil
A Charlie Brown Christmas

If your Christmas tradition involves a rerun of A Charlie Brown Christmas, then Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s Peanuts Christmas Wonders Together, Here display is for you. The mall has decked out its Centre Court with installations of the beloved Charlie Brown and Lucy, and also a huge one of Snoopy.

Mid Valley Megamall’s extravagant display feels like all our favourite cosy Christmas movies about Santa Claus and his little helper elves come to life. Its Santa Academy theme turns the mall’s Centre and North Courts into a scene from Santa’s workshop, where toys are made and merry cheer is all around.

Spot towering Christmas trees decorated with nutcracker dolls, wooden chalet-style structures, and oversized ornaments, which all come together to give the mall a dreamy holiday vibe that’s warm and festive.

A crystal wonderland

This year, 1 Utama Shopping Centre transforms into a dreamy winter realm that manages to feel luxurious and whimsical all at once. Its Through The Echoes Of Winter display for Christmas 2025 brings to mind an icy wonderland made of crystals, thanks to its glowing centrepiece: a 35-foot-tall Crystal Sanctum that captures light and seems to glow from within.
