Nintendo pop-up in Malaysia
Most of us have a The Legend of Zelda or Super Mario era. Whether it’s ongoing or something from the past, you’ll be gushing all the same over the Nintendo pop-up store that is opening in Malaysia from 12th September to 31st December 2026.
Here’s what you can expect:
First pop-up in Malaysia for the franchises
There’s something about the declaration “first in Malaysia” that always gets Malaysians excited. And this Nintendo pop-up is – cue the cheers – a first in Malaysia.
The pop-ups will be held concurrently under their parent company, The Pokémon Company, at the now-open Ombak KLCC in Kuala Lumpur. It’ll be around for over 3 months, so you can return to shop for Nintendo character merchandise, along with Nintendo games, throughout the period.
Merchandise to get at the Nintendo pop-up
It may not be a permanent store, but we’ll take what we can get. Our very own Nintendo Pop-up Store has all sorts of merch, including exclusive local-themed Super Mario merch like these T-shirts featuring Mario, Luigi, and Toad, with two iconic Warp Pipes standing side-by-side to represent Malaysia’s Petronas Twin Towers.
Super Mario fans can also find other Super Mario merchandise like these adorable character-themed mugs, cups, pillows, and even a chic golden coin pouch.

Beyond these limited-edition items, expect to shop best-selling character merch brought in from Japan – in other words, merch you won’t need a passport or plane ticket to get your hands on. You’ll have many to choose from the popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda.
Kirby fans cannot miss out on these adorable Kirby plushies.
There’s also merch for Pikmin and Splatoon-lovers, like these colourful plushies, and Pikmin dish set.
It’s not a complete Nintendo store without being able to purchase their Switch consoles and games. Purchasing from Japan meant expensive shipping fees. But now, you can head down to Ombak KLCC and pop by the pop-up to get your hands on a Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo & Pokémon Center pop-up hits Malaysia
There’s plenty to get excited about if you’re a Pokémon or Nintendo fan – or both, for that matter – in Malaysia. While merch of both franchises isn’t difficult to find at our local malls, the pop-ups will bring with them exclusive Japan and Malaysia-exclusive merch that will be hard to resist.
