The young musician may not have been a worldwide star from the very beginning – but he sure has had undeniable talent since he was young. As an adolescent, Kaze uploaded piano and song covers on YouTube, and quickly amassed a following.
Kaze later made his official debut as a singer-songwriter in 2019 with two singles, 何なんw (WTF LOL) and もうええわ (Mo-Eh-Wa). A year later, he released his first studio album Help Ever Hurt Never, which reached the coveted number one spot on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart.

Kaze gained global fame when his song I’d Rather Die (“Shinunoga E-Wa”) went viral last year. The song has since swept first spot on Spotify’s viral charts in many countries across Asia, Europe, and America. The singer’s fame saw a successful nationwide tour across Japan in 2022, and the release of his second studio album, Love All Serve All.
