1. Borneo Sonic Music Festival 2023 – 6th & 7th October

The 2023 Borneo Sonic Music Festival has just released its official lineup of performers for its upcoming two-day music event this October. To be held on 6th and 7th October at the Sarawak Stadium in Kuching, this music festival will be Borneo’s first and biggest music event.

Its list of performers features a number of world-renowned Korean superstars including Taeyang of the iconic boy group Big Bang, former 2NE1 rapper CL, Suho from K-pop boyband EXO, and Hyoyeon, member and main dancer of Girl’s Generation.

Apart from K-pop idols, other artists that are set to perform during the music festival also include Australian DJ Havana Brown and American rapper Fatman Scoop. Malaysian singer Ning Baizura and girl group DOLLA are among other local acts that will also be performing.

2. BamBam: The First World Tour ‘Area 52’ – 15th October

BamBam, K-pop artist and member of GOT7, will be holding his first ever solo concert in Malaysia this October.

Announced as part of the Thai singer’s first world tour titled The First World Tour ‘Area 52’, the concert is slated to be held at Mega Star Arena KL on 15th October. Look forward to vibing to BamBam’s hits live including Sour & Sweet, Ribbon, Who Are You and Slow Mo.

The GOT7 rapper will also be making stops at Seoul, Manila, Macau, Bangkok, with more dates to be announced soon.

3. Yuna: Yunaverse – 22nd October

Yuna, Malaysian singer-songwriter, is finally coming home.

The singer, who is currently based in Los Angeles, has announced the details of her homecoming concert called Yunaverse that’s set to take place at the Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur on 22nd October. The concert will feature Aizat Amdan, or AI.Z, as the guest singer. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on 8th August at 12pm via Lol Asia, with pre-sales open for members of Yuna’s fanclub on 7th August.

4. Kim Se Jeong: ‘The 門’ Tour – 29th October

South Korean singer and actress, Kim Se Jeong has announced her first concert as a soloist titled, ‘The 門’ Tour.

In a stunning poster released on her official Twitter account, the talented songstress revealed the cities and dates of the upcoming tour that is part of her Asia and Australia tour. She is set to perform in Kuala Lumpur on 29th October, with further details on the venue and ticketing information to be announced soon.

The idol-actress will kick off with a two-date concert in Seoul, South Korea, before stopping by other Asia cities including Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta, Taipei, Tokyo, Singapore, and Bangkok. The Australia leg will wrap up in November, in the cities of Melbourne and Sydney.

5. 9Wave Music Festival – 11th November

The 9Wave Music Festival is ready to give K-pop fans an electrifying night at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon on 11th November, with its star-studded lineup of the hottest K-pop acts.

Korean popstars that will be blazing the stage include Hyoyeon from the legendary Girls’ Generation, Xiumin of the iconic boyband EXO, multi-talented musician Henry Lau, top girl group (G)I-DLE, as well as EDM sensation Shaun.

The 2nd Early Bird phase tickets will go live on 12th October from 10am onwards, with prices starting from RM268.

6. Coldplay: Music of the Spheres – 22nd November

Get ready for a night sky full of stars this November, as the iconic British rock band Coldplay, will be performing live in Malaysia for the first time ever. As part of their world tour called Music of the Spheres, the musicians will be holding their concert at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. 

Fans can look forward to a phenomenal show by the band, who will be performing their hit singles including Yellow, A Sky Full Of Stars, The Scientist, Viva La Vida and Something Just Like This.

Enigmatic J-pop artist yama, has announced her 1st Asia Tour thanks for waiting that will see the blue-haired singer performing in five Asian cities, including Kuala Lumpur. yama will be kicking off her tour on 28th November at Zepp KL, so fans can catch the masked singer performing hits such as Haru wo Tsugeru, Oz, Color, and Moonwalker.

8. d4vd: Petals to Thorns Tour 2023 – 29th November

Young singer-songwriter David Burke, better known as d4vd, will be bringing his Petals to Thorns Tour 2023 to Malaysia. The 18-year-old musician is set to serenade the crowd at Zepp KL this November with his heartrending tracks such as Here With Me, Romantic Homicide, Sleep Well, and This Is How It Feels.

9. Joji: Pandemonium 2023 World Tour – 30th November

US-based Japanese singer-songwriter, Joji, is returning to Malaysia for his debut headline tour titled the Pandemonium 2023 World Tour. The artist is set to put on his first solo concert at Merdeka Hall on 30th November. This will be Joji’s second time performing in KL, following his performance for the Peakstorm Festival at Sunway Lagoon earlier this year.

10. James Arthur: Southeast Asia Tour 2023 – 3rd December

British singer-songwriter James Arthur has included Kuala Lumpur as a stop on his first ever tour in Southeast Asia, fittingly called James Arthur Southeast Asia Tour 2023. 

Known for his breakthrough hit Say You Won’t Let Go, as well as many other hit singles including Impossible, Falling Like The Stars, and Can I Be Him, the singer will be bringing his concert to Zepp KL on 3rd December. Fans will be in for a treat, as he will perform songs from his Bitter Sweet Love album that is set to release in January 2024, as this tour will be part of an advance promotion for his upcoming album.

After four years, the American singer-songwriter Lauv, will be returning to Malaysia to perform live in KL on 7th September 2023. Titled the between albums tour, the musician’s extensive Asian tour will feature Alexander 23, also an American singer-songwriter, as a guest performer. Get your wallets ready and be entranced by Lauv crooning to his swoony hits live, including fan-favourites like I Like Me Better and Paris In The Rain, as well as his newer tunes such as All 4 Nothing (I’m So In Love).

Kick off the month of January with the largest Korean music and dance festival – Melosaga – hitting the shores of Malaysia soon. Among the diverse lineup of musicians and artists performing at the ESCAPISM concert on the second day of the festival are South Korean R&B singer Crush and rapper Zico, as well as SM Entertainment’s DJ Raiden and the famous K-pop choreographer group, YGX dance crew.

2. Kang Daniel: First Parade World Tour – 14th January

K-pop star and former Wanna One member, Kang Daniel, will be holding his first Malaysian concert titled First Parade at the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands next month. This follows a promise he made to fans during a fanmeet in Malaysia back in 2019, when he assured fans of his return to the country with a firm, “Yes, I boleh.”

Now Kang’s fans – also known as DANITYs – can watch the puppy-faced singer songwriter perform in person, with a setlist of his solo hits including 2U, Who U Are, and Paranoia.

The K-pop fever is definitely raging in the month of January. The SEEN Festival will be bringing another stellar lineup of favourite K-pop idols, who are set to blaze the stage of Axiata Arena this month.

Star-studded acts that will be performing include two of NCT’s sub-units, the K-pop group’s precious younger brothers NCT Dream, as well as their broody Chinese sub-unit WayV. K-pop fans will also enjoy singing their hearts out to songs from the co-ed four-member group KARD and girl group ALICE.

All rise, for British boy band Blue is heading to Malaysia. After the exciting announcement of their first album “Heart and Soul” after a seven-year hiatus, which coincides with their 20th anniversary, the One Love hitmakers are back to meet their Malaysian fans on 10th February.

Save the date, hip-hop fans – the talented Korean-American rapper pH-1 will be making his way to Malaysia on 16th March. Also known as Harry, or Park Jun Won, the Show Me The Money rapper will be spitting bars and sick flows in Zepp KL as part of his ongoing world tour that is dubbed About Damn Time.

A rising rapper in the Korean rap scene with tons of collaboration with big artists under his belt, pH-1 will no doubt deliver a blazing show with his catchy hits such as Nerdy Love, Homebody, iffy, and The Purge.

Former One Direction member and British singer, Louis Tomlinson, will be making his way to Malaysia this April for a concert as part of the Asian leg of his Faith In The Future World Tour. A night of your dreams is heading your way.

K-pop’s younger brothers and the essence of adolescence, NCT Dream, will be holding their first ever concert in Malaysia, much to the delight of us noona fans. Affectionately known as “the Dreamies”, the adorable and bubbly septet officially announced a new set of cities and dates for their ongoing world tour The Dream Show 2: In A Dream. NCTzens will be psyched to know that Kuala Lumpur is included on the list.

While the location and ticket prices for their concert in Malaysia are yet to be announced, fans can have the multi-million boyband’s vibrant hits on repeat in anticipation of the concert, including Hot Sauce, Hello Future, Beatbox, and Candy – you know you’re in for a very neo night.

Taiwanese indie singer, songwriter, and composer, Crowd Lu, will be crooning to his Malaysian fans at Plenary Hall KL in May for his C’Mon Live Concert tour. Three years after his last concert in Malaysia, the multi-talented singer will be back again to promote his sixth album Healism that was released in December 2021.

Eight years later, fans will finally get to see Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok performing live in the country. Calling this a long wait is definitely an understatement.

Dubbed Aaron Kwok Amazing Kode World Tour 2023, the tour will see the star meeting his Malaysian fans for two back-to-back nights at Genting Highlands. Japanese music prodigy and phenomenal pianist, Fujii Kaze, will be performing in Malaysia for the very first time this July. The tour, titled Fujii Kaze and the piano Asia Tour 2023, will be the singer-songwriter’s first overseas tour, in which he will be performing on an intimate set of just him and his piano. Kazetarians, get excited to watch the 25 year old perform his viral hits such as I’d Rather Die (“Shinunoga E-Wa”), Kirari, and Matsuri.

The soul-soothing band Cigarettes After Sex announced their show in Malaysia, much to the excitement of Malaysians. It’s been four long years since fans was last able to listen to their dreamy and sensual lullabies live, with their upcoming concert set to take place at Zepp KL in July.

22. Good Vibes Festival – 21st to 23rd July

When Good Vibes Festival promised to come back with its “biggest lineup to date”, they weren’t kidding.

Celebrating their 10-year anniversary in Sepang International Circuit this July, the highly-anticipated music festival will be returning for three whole days, featuring beloved international and local acts. 

This year’s headliners include American rock band The Strokes, English pop-rock band The 1975, and Australian rapper The Kid LAROI. Other international artists that are set to join the stage include Dermot Kennedy, Dhruv, DPR LIVE, Peach Tree Rascals, RINI, and Sabrina Carpenter.

23. Radwimps: Asian Tour 2023 – 25th July

Japanese rock band Radwimps will be dropping by Malaysia this year as part of their 2023 Asia Tour. Known for composing and performing scores for iconic Japanese animes such as Your Name, Weathering With You, and Suzume, the trio is set to perform at Zepp KL on 25th July.  Fans – and anime lovers – can sing along to their memorable tracks, as well as their latest releases such as Shape Of Miracle and Mountain Top.

24. Muse: Will Of The People Tour – 29th July

We’ve waited for 16 years, and now Malaysia has the honour of being the only stop in Asia for English rock band Muse’s “Will Of The People” tour this July. 

To be held in Bukit Kiara Equestrian Resort, the upcoming concert marks the second time the band will be performing in Malaysia since the last one in 2007. Fans can expect the two-time Grammy award-winning band to perform tracks off their latest album, Will Of The People – we hope to hear their hits such as Uprising, Hysteria, Starlight and Time Is Running Out being performed as well.
