With the arrival of jolly festivals in the country, there’s one extra fun reason to visit them – the seriously stunning mall displays that launch us straight into a festive mood.

For the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations this year, we’re looking at pretty and nostalgic displays at malls throughout Malaysia – you’ll be guaranteed to leave them with a photo gallery full of snaps that’ll make your friends and family go “cantik-nya!”.


1. AEON MALL

Festive stories take centre stage at AEON MALL for Raya 2026 with the colourful Cerita Raya mall display, graced with the appearances of Malaysia’s nature and heritage icons.

Besides being pretty backdrops for pictures, the centre courts of AEON MALL locations in Klang Valley currently feature blooming wooden arches, batik ornaments, and homely fixtures that pay homage to Malaysia’s heritage and tropical flora.

Glance above, and you’ll see glowing butterflies amidst the wooden arches and in between colourful batik-patterned fabric, which makes you feel as if you’ve entered a mystical kampung.

AEON MALL has also collaborated with Tourism Malaysia, with huge displays of Malaysia’s adorable mascots, Wira and Manja, towering over the centre courts of the malls.

There’ll be meet-and-greet sessions with the adorable Malayan sun bears if you haven’t been getting enough of their cuteness, alongside other festive activities to go along with the Raya display, such as a parade and traditional performances.

2. Sunway Pyramid


A spotlight on local textiles

Food is a highlight during Hari Raya, but textiles play a pretty major role in the festivities too. We look forward to picking out our Raya outfits and adorning our living spaces with fun and colourful patterns this time of the year.

To celebrate the textiles that crop up during Raya, Sunway Pyramid’s Seindah Corak Aidilfitri is an exploration and celebration of textile patterns.

Alongside flowy batik drapes that hang from the ceiling, and a recreation of a nostalgic kedai jahit for photos, the mall has a special Cultural Heritage Textiles showcase that explores the artistry of traditional prints, including a 100-year-old textile piece that’s on display.

3. The Gardens Mall


A mansion-inspired Raya decor

This Ramadan, a sprawling mansion has materialised on the ground floor of The Gardens Mall for their creative and aptly-named The Raya Mansion Diaries setup.

Come here to snap pictures with the fam in an elegant family home setting, complete with a dining room and a reading nook, all festively decorated to celebrate Malaysian style and heritage. The spaces exude glamour and warmth at the same time, with dripping chandeliers overhead and tropical plants filling every corner.

4. SkyAvenue

If you’re looking for a non-traditional take on Raya to vibe with this festive season, check out SkyAvenue in Genting Highlands. Here you’ll find the Care Bears all over the mall for the Jom Raya Kaw Kaw campaign.

Snap photos with blown-up versions of the cuddly bears, shop cute merchandise, and even participate in craft workshops while you’re here. Balik raya will have a different feel here, but this one will definitely delight the young ones.

5. Suria KLCC


A bougainvillaea garden with traditional wakaf pavilions

Those taking their festive shopping to Suria KLCC this Raya will find a gorgeous bougainvillaea garden with several traditional Malay wakaf pavilions as part of the mall’s Raya festivities. Take the time to peek inside the wakaf huts, as they contain different heritage artefacts, including an old-school loom.

Not content to keep indoors, KLCC’s Raya setup also includes a 1,710m hand-stamped batik installation that spans from the pavilions to the mall’s outdoor Esplanade KLCC area. Outside, you can also take a stunning picture of a light-up arch with the Petronas Twin Towers right behind it.

6. 1 Utama Shopping Centre

1 Utama Shopping Centre celebrates Raya this year with a majestic 2-storey kampung house that takes centre stage in their Indahnya Syawal display, which you can wander to the 2nd floor for a good bird’s eye view of the entire setup.

Inspired by moments shared when families balik kampung, the towering house is complete with a living room setting, with curved lines and textures inspired by the elegance and textures of the songket and tanjak. There’s also a corner in the “house” with displays of different tanjak styles from around the nation.

7. LaLaport BBCC


A fishing village reimagined

There’s a slice of the seaside to enjoy at LaLaport BBCC this Raya. The KL mall’s festive Deruan Kasih Aidilfitri display features installations such as a fishing boat, a fish market facade, and a wooden pier flanked by lush greenery.

The stunning scenery acts as the backdrop for cultural performances that are part of the mall’s cheery Raya celebrations, including silat, kompang, and marching band performances.

8. The Exchange TRX


A luxurious garden setting

The Exchange TRX brings Malaysia’s rich tropical landscape indoors with their Rimbun Raya theme this year.

A stroll through the mall’s Central Exchange will feel like a walk in a serene garden, with an extravagant golden gazebo dripping with fairy lights and furnished with a couch for photos that steals the show.

Surrounding the centrepiece are other garden features, including a gorgeous fountain filled with flora and oversized flower installations, as well as classy vignettes.

Anyaman, or weaving, is spotlighted at Mid Valley Megamall’s Salam Aidilfitri display for Raya 2026. The courts of the sprawling mall in KL take inspiration from the act of weaving ketupat casings and floor mats, and also the philosophy behind it – that is, the kinship formed in life and memories shared among loved ones.

The display recreates a weaving artisan’s studio, with towering arches that interlock, resembling the same philosophy behind the timeless craft.

10. Bangsar Shopping Centre

Bangsar Shopping Centre continues to keep it classy for Raya this year. The mall celebrates the Eid Mubarak season with a setup that draws inspiration from Moroccan features and structures, including fountains and horseshoe arches with pretty geometric designs.

It’s all in the details here – hanging lanterns with soft yellow light add to the elegance, along with the goods sold by vendors here, like intricately designed textiles and fine traditional Malay outfits.

11. Pavilion KL

12. Gurney Plaza

Penang’s Gurney Plaza isn’t settling on the usual pelita that we put up as festive decorations in outdoor spaces during Hari Raya. They’ve got massive pelita installations – five of them, to be precise – as part of their Sinaran Raya display.

Rising tall, as high as 35ft, the pelitas are topped with realistic “flames” and surrounded by light fixtures and decor elements like butterflies and arches, which all come together to illuminate the mall’s centre court beautifully.
