It’s almost hard to believe that Mövenpick Hotel & Convention Centre is just a 10-minute drive from KLIA and 15 minutes from Sepang International Circuit. The hotel looks like it’s been plucked from a far-flung destination, with its unique all-white curved building flanked by palm trees and pools giving off major tropical island vibes.

The hotel is massive. It features 332 plush rooms that overlook Sepang’s untouched natural surroundings, with most having a private balcony and a door that faces the main lobby – you kind of feel like you’re on a cruise ship here. There is almost everything you need outside your hotel door too, as the hotel has spa and wellness facilities, a gym, and five restaurants and lounges.

Other neat amenities at the hotel include the Kids Club and an outdoor play area, as well as rain showers in each room. Interconnecting rooms are also available if you’re travelling with a larger group.

2. Sama-Sama Hotel

You can’t get any closer to KLIA than with Sama-Sama Hotel. The hotel is directly connected to KLIA Terminal 1 by a covered bridge, with 24-hour free buggy services so you can shop for souvenirs till you drop without worrying about rushing back to your terminal for your flight.

The hotel also has a Runway on 9th lounge, where you can sip on drinks and spot planes on KLIA’s runways – that’s just how close it is to the airport.
And if you happen to land in Malaysia at odd hours of the day, you can get rid of your hunger pangs at the 24-hour Continents, which is one of four in-house restaurants at Sama-Sama.

French hotel chain ibis Hotels has a modern hotel located near KLIA – 1.2km, or 6 minutes, away to be precise – called ibis Styles Sepang KLIA, and it feels more like a resort with its amenities that extend beyond the complimentary shuttle service offered to hotel guests.

Pamper yourself with a spa treatment at Qi-Forest Spa, soak in Sepang’s largest saltwater pool, and let the kiddos play in a dedicated kid-friendly play area, all at the hotel.

4. Tune Hotel Aeropolis

Tune Hotel Aeropolis – Tune Hotels’ property that’s in the vicinity of KLIA – offers some of the most affordable room rates in the Sepang district. Rooms start from just RM90 per night.

The hotel doesn’t skimp on amenities despite the lower price points for a room. Make the most of services such as a 24-hour shuttle service from the hotel to KLIA and KLIA2, round-the-clock front desk, self-service laundrette, and the in-house MAKAN restaurant that opens from 6am to 10.30pm.
5. Tune Hotel KLIA-KLIA2

If you’re looking for an even closer stay to the airport, Tune Hotels’ operates another hotel in Sepang – Tune Hotel KLIA-KLIA2 – that’s linked to KLIA Terminal 2 by a covered walkway.

It has additional services for travellers, including day-use rooms (from RM130) from 7am to 7pm that are perfect for those with short layovers, luggage storage, and early breakfast at MAKAN from 4am.

6. Holiday Inn Sepang

If you want to be close to the airport, without actually being next to it, Holiday Inn Sepang is a good option. Located about 15 minutes from the airport, in the Kota Warisan township, you’ll find the hotel conveniently located next to a mall, KIPMall, and also plenty of good local eats.

Check in to one of its 253 guest rooms, and get access to the hotel’s facilities such as a fitness centre, a pool, and two on-site restaurants where kids under 12 years old can eat for free when accompanied by two paying adults. Cyberjaya is not known as a resort destination – universities, offices, and tech start-ups take up most of the real estate here. But there’s Cyberview Resort & Spa to beat the stereotypes with its nature features such as towering palm trees and natural pools.
Formerly known as Cyberjaya Lodge, the resort was launched to host distinguished guests for Malaysia’s first APEC Summit Conference, so you can expect a snazzy stay here.

Urban Inn is a newer hotel in Cyberjaya, with 61 modern rooms set inside a motel-like, low-rise building. It’s located just a 10-minute walk from the town’s retail hub, Shaftesbury Square, so expect to have food spots such as Pizza Hut, Subway, and Serai nearby with a stay here.

The rooms at Urban Inn are minimally and tastefully decorated, with amenities limited to just the essentials within the room, including a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, and hairdryers. But with rates that start from a low of RM133, and 24-hour reception service, you’ll be in for a comfortable stay even without a pool or in-house restaurants.
10. FOX Lite

If accessibility is a priority, FOX Lite Cyberjaya will be your best choice. The hotel is connected to the town’s largest shopping mall, DPULZE, where eateries and shopping are aplenty. There’s also a bus stop conveniently located across the street from the entrance of the mall, so you can travel to other Cyberjaya hotspots or to its two MRT stations for onward travel.
Otherwise, the hotel offers airport transfers for a surcharge.
