Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre
There’s no lack of live performances in Malaysia – we’ve already got a running list for 2027. With the launch of Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre (JCPAC) in Subang Jaya this October, more orchestra shows and theatre plays are in our futures – cue the applause.
If you’ve got a show lined up there, we’ve here to help with this guide to JCPAC, including information on how to get to the performing arts centre and what shows it has lined up.
What is JCPAC?
On 19th October, Sunway Group officially launched the Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre (JCPAC) at Subang Jaya’s Sunway Square Mall.
The performing arts venue was developed to bring to Malaysians more international shows and support local and regional talents, with a development cost of more than RM200 million. It’s set to host everything – more intimate shows to larger-scale performances, covering musicals, orchestral concerts, and spoken dramas staged by local and international teams.

JCPAC comprises two performance spaces. There’s the main The Grand Theatre, which can accommodate 1,200 spectators in a tiered-seat arrangement, and The Studio, a 150-seat experimental space.
How to get to JCPAC?
The mall’s main entrance.
Getting to JCPAC is fairly straightforward.
If you’re driving to and parking at Sunway Square Mall, parking rates for the mall is RM2 for the first 2 hours on weekdays and RM3 for the first 3 hours on weekends. From the basement parking, make your way up escalators, towards the main entrance on the Ground Floor. Exit through the doors and head towards the escalator on your left, riding it up all the way to the 5th floor.
JCPAC is right in front of the escalator, with its entrance on the left.
The drop-off area for taxis and e-hailing rides is at the main entrance too, with the same steps to follow to reach JCPAC.
As for public transport, you’ll need to get on the BRT Sunway line and alight at SunMed BRT station. The BRT Sunway line has interchanges with the LRT on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line at USJ 7 station, and KTM on the KTM Port Klang Line at Setia Jaya station.
The mall is just a short 6-minute, or 400m, walk from the station.
