9 Food Delivery Services In KL Other Than Grab & Foodpanda So You Can Still Feast While At Home

Food delivery in KL

Now that we’re in the middle of the government-imposed Movement Control Order, most Malaysians are left idling at home while we do our part to curb the COVID-19 spread. Luckily for us, we still have food delivery services to rely on so that we don’t go hungry.

Besides popular delivery services like Grab and Foodpanda, there are actually a ton more that may have slipped out of our radar. A lot of them also have new policies in place in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, so they’ve taken precautionary measures like sanitising, only accepting cashless payments, and practicing social distancing.

1. Dahmakan – 25% off first order

When we’re left alone at home, most Malaysians would just reach out for the packet of instant noodles instead of whipping up an actual meal in the kitchen. On days when Maggi just doesn’t cut it, opt for Dahmakan.

Those on a health kick will be especially pleased to know that Dahmakan offers balanced meals that are all prepared by its in-house chefs.

Its healthy meals aren’t just restricted to just salads either. It takes local eats that are adored by all and whips up a healthier rendition of it like the Nasi Kerabu with Ayam Berempah (RM14.99), Nasi Kunyit with Ayam Rempah (RM14.99), and Healthy Beef Rendang (RM24.99)

The selection differs day by day, so there’ll always be something new to look forward to. You can also check the menu schedule in advance by clicking on the dropdown menu on their website. This way, you can plan your meals ahead of time.

If it’s your first time ordering with Dahmakan, you’re entitled to a 25% discount on your first meal if you use the coupon “NEW25” upon checkout.

Besides practising good hygiene, we can try to be more vigilant when dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak by also watching what we eat. Poke bowls like the ones from Kurin are loaded with vitamins that can give us an added immunity boost to help us shield ourselves from harmful diseases.

Some of the bowls you can look forward to are Ponzu Fresh Salmon (RM24) and Teriyaki Torched Tofu (RM12), as well as appetising salads like Oven Baked Chicken Salad with Spicy Mayo Sauce (RM13)

Kurin would be a great choice for those staying with their families as you can then opt for the Catering Menu where you can order up to 10 servings of your selected menu. It’s also more value for money as you get to enjoy the free delivery service for orders above RM100.

Plus, the meals per serving are actually cheaper when bought in bulk than individually. For instance, a regular order of a Kimchi Chicken bowl would cost RM19 but only RM14 in a bulk order of 10.

RunningMan is also one of the few delivery services in the country that doesn’t require a minimum order, a big plus for those of us living alone. Additionally, you can find vendors that have delivery fees as low as RM1 so that you won’t have to spend more on your meals than you need to.
