Malaysia’s First Matcha Festival Happening From Now Till 20th Sep With Exclusive Matcha Drinks & Desserts

Matcha Walk at Ombak KLCC

There’s a saying that you can never have too much matcha, and Matcha Walk is here to put that to the test. Bringing together 24 matcha brands from across Klang Valley, Malaysia’s first-ever matcha festival is happening at Ombak KLCC from 16th to 20th September 2026.

Happening daily from 12pm to 10pm, the festival is a chance to round up your matcha-loving friends and explore a variety of drinks, desserts, and exclusive specials all in one place.

What is Matcha Walk?

With 24 participating brands, Matcha Walk brings together a mix of familiar names and unique matcha-focused offerings from across Klang Valley.

Organised by the same team behind Cake Walk and Cookie Walk, the festival marks their first-ever matcha-focused event, bringing the green tea craze right into the heart of the city.

There are also keychains and accessories available for purchase, so you can pick up a little something beyond food and drinks.

Do note that the space can get a little cramped during peak hours, so coming earlier may help you beat the queue.

Exclusive items at Matcha Walk

Laufey’s Special from 1800 Matcha-N-Chocolate (RM19)

If you’re a fan of dreamy, dessert-like drinks, try the Laufey’s Special from 1800 Matcha-N-Chocolate. The drink has made a comeback at their stores after being an exclusive for A Very Laufey Day, combining the sweetness of white chocolate with the earthy notes of matcha for a refreshing yet indulgent sip.

They also offer Triple Strawberry Matcha (RM19), which comes with strawberry jam and a layer of strawberry cream and a strawberry on top.

Another exclusive worth checking out is their 3-Farm Tasting Flight (RM25), created in collaboration with Secai Marche. It comes with three cups of matcha, allowing you to compare their levels of sweetness, umami, richness, nuttiness, and bitterness to find your preferred flavour profile.

Dango from Matcha Eight (RM13)

Known for its matcha and hojicha ice creams, Matcha Eight is bringing an exclusive dango offering to Matcha Walk that is only available at the festival.

Each serving comes with two dango sticks, and you can choose to have your dango topped with Mitarashi, a sweet soy sauce glaze, or red bean. You can also mix both toppings if you can’t decide between the two.

Besides the dango, Matcha Eight is also serving three of its signature ice cream flavours, Oh My Genmaicha, Matcha Me Tonight, and Hojilicious, priced at RM16.95 each.

Another item to look out for is their Matcha Float (RM26.50), a matcha latte with red bean at the bottom, and an ice cream flavour of your choice floating on top.

The Trio from The Haven Club (RM75)

Making its debut at Matcha Walk, The Trio by The Haven Club comes in a box of six and features three different flavours: Matcha Strawberry, Hojicha Raspberry Pistachio, and Genmaicha White Peach.

Each flavour uses a different type of tea and fruit pairing, making this a good option for those who enjoy trying a variety of flavour profiles in one box.

They also serve other interesting creations such as the Honeycomb Matcha (RM18) and their take on the Matcha Polo Bun (RM18) with matcha pudding between the bun.

Strawberry Matcha Tiramisu (RM40.90)

Next up is the Strawberry Matcha Tiramisu (RM40.90) from Keyes, an exclusive dessert available only during their five-day appearance at Ombak KLCC.

Served in a neat tin cake box, the dessert features layers of strawberry jam and ladyfingers. The flavours complement one another without either the strawberry or matcha overpowering the rest of the dessert.

While you’re at Keyes, you can also check out their stamp section, where visitors can participate in a stamp activity and take photos with their cute mirror setup.

Get your matcha fix at Matcha Walk

Matcha buns, cakes, drinks, and even matcha powder – you name it, they’ve got it. Get all your matcha cravings sorted at Matcha Walk at Ombak KLCC, and you might even discover a new favourite matcha treat or product to take home.

Do be prepared to queue, as the space can get a little tight during peak hours. You may also need some time to browse through the participating stores, so come with a little patience and plenty of room for matcha goodies.
