Pokémon takes over Ombak KLCC till end-December
Pika pika – the Pokémon hype isn’t dying anytime soon in Kuala Lumpur.
While you’re visiting the Pokémon Center pop-up at Ombak KLCC, you can catch a whole bunch of activities related to the beloved franchise. They include photo ops with Pokémon installations that make a return after fans had to say a sad farewell at KLCC Park, a stamp rally, and meet-and-greet sessions with Pikachu and Eevee.
What’s going on at Ombak KLCC?
Ombak KLCC is hosting a slew of Pokémon-related activities with rotating themes from 1st October till 31st December 2026. The mall’s Concourse level is decked out with Pokémon decorations that rotate themes until the end of 2026.
The first Pikachu theme runs from 1st to 23rd October, followed by a Fire theme from 24th October to 15th November. This moves on to the Grass theme from 16th November to 8th December, before closing out with a splash with the Water theme from 9th to 31st December.
The decorations are accompanied by activities, such as stamp rallies, origami crafting, and Pokémon meet-and-greets, that run throughout the weekdays and weekends.
A Pikachu stamp rally
You can stamp ‘em all by redeeming a stamp rally card at the mall’s concourse level. Once you have this in hand, collect seven unique stamp designs at stamp booths located in different corners of the mall.
We’ll let you in on a secret – there’s a stamp booth at every level of the mall, except Level 3.
When you’re done, you can show your completed rally card at a redemption counter, along with a receipt with a minimum spend of RM10 from any store at Ombak KLCC, to redeem freebies – a Pokémon acrylic keychain and a Trading Card Game Fun Pack. These freebies are distributed on a limited basis per day, so arrive early if you want to avoid disappointment.
Pokémon photo ops
If you didn’t manage to catch the Pokémon installations at KLCC Park, you can now play catch-up. Ombak KLCC’s Rooftop Sky Garden is now a park for fan-favourite Pokémon, including Pikachu, Eevee, and Snorlax.
A special 30th Anniversary Pokémon photo spot has also been set up here – consider taking your shopping haul from the Pokémon Center pop-up up here, as it makes a great backdrop along with the KL skyline.
Other weekend Pokémon activities
Plan to visit the mall on the weekends – you get the full Pokémon experience. Several activities are planned, including origami crafting and Pikachu and Eevee meet-and-greet sessions.
If you’re a trading card game enthusiast, or a newbie wanting to get into the hobby, head to the special playing area at the Trading Card Game Tutorial booth on Level 1, next to Alpro Pharmacy
