The rain is pouring down and the winds are blowing, and you need something to warm your stomach. A cup of tea might bring instant comfort, but it will be even better to get something that is also hearty and filling – like hotpots or barbecues, and a fusion of both sounds more amazing.

Enter mookata, a Thai-style BBQ hotpot that brings together Korean BBQ and Chinese hotpot. For authentic and affordable mookata in Subang Jaya, Thaisom Mookata is the right place to go. Other than mookata, the restaurant also serves skewers, Mama Mee, and Thai milk tea, with deals that will give you the best bang for the buck.

When you visit this restaurant, you will discover that their mookata is served in sets that can feed up to 4 pax.

Set A (RM46.80) includes an assortment of meats and greens, while Set B (RM59.80) comes with the addition of seafood like prawns and squids. But don’t limit yourself to just the set meals as there are a plethora of add-ons, such as crabsticks and abalone slices.

Thai hotpots must be super spicy and have you sweating over it, but you can choose to have clear soup besides tom yum (+RM3) as the soup base.

Meat lovers will adore Thaisom Mookata for the meat varieties it has to offer. From tender cuts of pork shoulder and belly to New Zealand lamb slices, smoked duck, bacon, and Taiwanese sausages, this is where your carnivorous cravings can be satisfied.

The restaurant isn’t a Subang Jaya students’ favourite for no reason. Students who show their student ID cards can enjoy 15% off their total bill.

But don’t feel sad if you are way past your student era, because the restaurant also has a special treat for the birthday peeps.

If you happen to visit during your birthday week within a 10-day span, you can claim a free tower of Thai milk tea. Or, if your birthday is still far away, consider bringing your friend or family member who is celebrating their birthdays along so that you can piggyback on their birthday benefits.

The restaurant is also currently running a special deal for customers who bring their mum or dad along. Instead of the regular price of RM12.90, you will have to spend just RM1 to get their Thai Mama Mee, which is a hearty bowl of noodles, squids, pork slices, prawns, and eggs.

Although Mother’s Day has passed, Father’s Day is still on the way. So, seize this deal before it ends on 18th June.
