A Quiet Place: A New Karaoke Spot In KL With Mini Studios & An Open-Mic Stage From RM15/Hour To Let Your Voice Soar

A Quiet Place in Bukit Bintang

When you first hear the words “a quiet place”, you might think of the hit horror film. Or, you might assume it’s referring to a library, where the only sound you’ll hear is the flipping of pages. Except this spot that we found called A Quiet Place is the opposite of these.

Located within a 7-minute walk of Bukit Bintang MRT Station, this new karaoke spot in the heart of KL is where you can unleash your inner singer – singing in the bathroom with a shampoo bottle as a microphone just won’t cut it anymore.

A karaoke session can be expensive. But rooms at A Quiet Place are charged by 30-minute and 1-hour blocks, with rates from as low as RM10 for a 30-minute session. There’s also free-flow drinks, snacks, and ice cream to enjoy after you work up an appetite from all the singing and dancing you’ll be doing here.

For those dropping by with their bestie or even alone, look no further than the Mini Studio with its Muji-like decor.

With its neutral-tone theme, wooden walls, and lush greenery, the Mini Studio comprises studio-like rooms called Duet, Band, and Choir that can accommodate two, four, or six people respectively.

These rooms are good for anyone who just wants to soothe their karaoke urges while in the city centre, as rates for each room start from RM10 for 30 minutes and RM15 for an hour.

Loud Speaker 2.0 has 33 karaoke rooms categorised by size – Audition (4-6 pax), Cabaret (6-10 pax), Symphony (10-12 pax), Opera (12-15 pax), and Festival (20-40 pax).

With music-enhanced neon-light fixtures and large screens, these futuristic-looking karaoke rooms offer a setting so immersive you might think you are singing inside a spaceship far from Earth – we’re not kidding. The rooms are also equipped with over 300,000 song options.

The hourly rate for these rooms start from RM40. For starters, sessions during their off-peak timings from 12pm-5pm on Mondays to Thursdays cost RM40/hour, and RM50/hour on Fridays, weekends, and public holidays for their Audition room.

At peak hours, the rates are bumped up by RM20 for weekdays and weekends.

A quick math brings the charge to a minimum of about RM6/hour per pax, if you’re aiming to hit the maximum pax number of six for the Audition room for most value for money.

Rest assured, all the rooms come with unlimited snacks and drinks. For those who regularly sing their hearts out at karaoke spots, sign up for a Jom K Kakee membership to enjoy a buy-2-free-1-hour deal.

It fits around 100 people and is equipped with high-definition JBL sound system to handle your vocal prowess.
