McDonald’s x Pokémon Happy Meal in Malaysia
We love McDonald’s burgers, fries, and ice cream. But we grown-ups still look forward to the Happy Meal sets for the cool collaboration toys they come with.
We’ve seen our share of collabs and limited-edition merch, but the upcoming McDonald’s x Pokémon is set to bring a whole lot of chaotic fun through a Happy Meal box. The collaboration launches globally in November, with Malaysians set to be part of all the trading card and collectable merch fun, too.
What is the McDonald’s x Pokémon collab?

McDonald’s previously released several Happy Meals with Pokémon trading cards, collectable toys, and themed packaging. The upcoming Pokémon Happy Meal features all three items: 3 special Pokémon Happy Meal boxes themed after Pikachu, Umbreon, or Torchic, 15 collectable toys, and 15 collectable trading cards for fans and trainers to collect.

The toys are miniature versions of the Pokémon Happy Meal, with 15 Pokémon characters adorably shaped like boxes. The fan-favourite Pokémon characters to collect are: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Chikorita, Eevee, Espeon, Espurr, Minccino, Munchlax, Pikachu, Piplup, Rowlet, Sobble, Squirtle, Sprigatito, and Weedle.
Each Happy Meal will also pack two random trading cards, including 7 foil cards. The Pokémon TCG cards to collect include: Decidueye, Chandelure, Palafin, Pikachu, Mimikyu, Lucario, Hawlucha, Tyranitar, Absol, Zoroark, Metagross, Jirachi, Eevee, Snorlax, and Wooloo.
When does it launch in Malaysia?
The upcoming McDonald’s x Pokémon Happy Meal launches on 10th November 2026 in seven countries, followed by a wider release in December 2026 that includes Malaysia. This was revealed in a post by the official Happy Meal Instagram account.

No specific date has been given yet for the Malaysia release, beyond the month, but we expect it to be sometime after the McDonald’s x G-Dragon collab ends at the end of November.
Collect trading cards & toys from the McDonald’s x Pokémon Happy Meal
