M’sia’s 1st Cat Playground In Sunway Putra Mall Is Perfect For Those In Need Of Feline Therapy

Cat playground opens in Sunway Putra Mall

Cat cafes are great for snacking on sweet treats while the occasional feline brushes its tail past your leg. But if you’re looking to have some actual play time with these pets, a cat playground is your best bet. Malaysia now has its very first CAT Playground, launched in Sunway Putra Mall last Friday (26 Jul). You can get in at RM15 per entry.

According to The Sun Daily, the playground houses 10 friendly rescue cats that are great around children, so parents can put their minds at ease. If you’re a cat owner yourself, you can bring your furry pets over to let them meet new friends. The space has a range of  toys that are sure to keep your cats entertained.

Visit for the ‘gram

For those of you who love filling your social feeds with pretty pictures, CAT Playground is a selfie-friendly location that follows a dessert theme. Doughnuts are a main feat here — you can spot doughnut swings for cats, doughnut wall decor, and even rainbow sprinkles on wallpaper.

Cat-assisted therapy

It’s not just all fun and games at CAT Playground. It’s also meant to be a therapeutic spot for children with developmental disorders such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and Down Syndrome. There are therapy sessions held there by certified physiotherapists and occupational therapists to help children better develop their brain functions, as well as their motor and speech skills.

Cat-assisted therapy can really benefit special needs children as animals can help them with their psycho-social development. Furry friends are able to help young kids to have a higher self-esteem, reduce their stress, and teach them how to build rapport.

Parents who are interested in sending their children to this therapy programme can hop onto their website for more information.

CAT Playground: a paradise for cat lovers

Not only will you get to play with felines each visit, you’ll have plenty of nice photos for your Instagram feed. And let’s not forget the best part: This whole thing is for a good cause!
