Inspire Live Arena in Petaling Jaya
Live music has become more popular in Malaysia, and thankfully, there is a patchwork of arenas in Klang Valley to host international stars.
After just over a year since Idea Live Arena opened in Petaling Jaya, another multi-purpose venue is soon to secure its status as the next go-to venue for live entertainment and events in the city: Inspire Live Arena.
Here’s a first look at the venue, which officially launches on 16th August 2026.
What is Inspire Live Arena?
Inspire Live Arena is the latest project under Superstar Arena Holding Sdn Bhd, which also developed and operates Idea Live. It’s located inside IOI Mall Damansara, formerly Tropicana Gardens Mall, in PJ’s Kota Damansara area.

The arena is specially designed to host six event types, including concerts, live shows, exhibitions, festivals, and product launches. It takes over the mall’s exhibition space on Level 3A, with one stage and an open floor plan that can be modulated to accommodate different events.
The arena’s stage is backed by a huge high-definition LED screen, as well as two ultra-clear side screens for those in the back to have a closer view of the stage.
Loudspeakers and subwoofers deliver rich bass in the arena, while beam arrays and laser effects are almost blindingly impressive – in a good way, as they’ll be sure to get your blood pumping during a concert.
What is Inspire Live Arena’s capacity?
The new live entertainment arena can hold up to 5,000 eventgoers at a time, in seated and standing configurations. This is just slightly smaller than the maximum 6,000-capacity Idea Live, which remains Malaysia’s largest indoor arena in a mall.

Inspire Live Arena has a single-level, flat floor that can accommodate both seated and standing zones on a single seat map. As the arena’s layout is flexible, it can go into an “extended mode” for concerts, which includes tiered seating.
How to get to the arena?
Getting to and back from a live entertainment venue is the big question on everyone’s mind.
Besides the plus points of Inspire Live being located inside a mall, where food options are plenty so you don’t attend a concert hangry, the arena is directly connected to an MRT station that’s approximately a 3-minute walk away if you power-walk.
You can arrive at the venue on Level 3A of the mall through dedicated escalators, lifts, and an outdoor staircase.

The Surian MRT Station on the green Kajang line is linked to IOI Mall Damansara, with two access points from the venue to the station.
The regular way is through a covered Skybridge from the mall’s Ground Floor, where the KKV and UNIQLO stores are located. There’s also the taxi drop-off area on the same floor, if you’re opting to alight at a different station and complete the journey through e-hailing.
From the Ground Floor, head to the set of escalators that face the Centre Court, just outside the F.O.S outlet in the mall. These specific escalators connect the mall’s Concourse floor to Level 3A, without any diversions.
You can also exit Inspire Live through the mall’s rooftop garden, Hillside. When the weather permits, take a flight of outdoor stairs from Level 3A all the way down to the Ground Floor, and to the entrance of Surian MRT Station. There’s a special entrance to the MRT stop at the bottom landing of the stairs, but expect it to open only when there’s an event at Inspire Live, as it was shut off when we explored the area.
Don’t worry about getting lost – there are clear signs to lead you from Level 3A all the way down to the bottom floor.
Getting here by car
You can also opt to drive to IOI Mall Damansara, which is easily accessible via NKVE, DASH, LDP, and SPRINT highways.

The mall has over 2,000 parking bays, with license-plate recognition entries that accept debit and credit cards and Touch ‘n Go payments.
The parking fee for the mall is a low RM2 for the first 3 hours, from Monday to Sunday. The fourth hour is RM1, and the fifth and subsequent hours are RM2. Currently, the mall offers free 3-hour parking until further notice.
Motorcyclists can enjoy RM1 per entry, Mondays to Sundays.
What concerts are held at Inspire Live?
While newly launched, Inspire Live Arena has already teased an upcoming concert at its venue: IDOL LIVE RADIO in Kuala Lumpur, which takes place on 3rd October.
Organised by iME and South Korea’s MBC Radio, the festival-like concert based on the radio programme Idol Live has been hitting cities around Asia. The Macau edition brings K-pop groups THE BOYZ, P1Harmony, izna, and HIGHLIGHT’s Lee Gikwang and Son Dongwoon to the city.
The artist lineup for the Malaysian concert is yet to be announced.
