The Amanjena Resort in Melaka
Malaysians are resuming travel plans – at least domestically – after staying at home for longer-than-usual periods during the MCO. This has turned weekend spots such as Melaka one of the must-visit locales at this time to stretch our legs. But while we often associate this coastal state with refreshing bowls of cendol and the ever-buzzing Jonker Street, there’s a new Mediterranean-inspired staycation spot with major Santorini vibes that opened its doors in Melaka this month called The Amanjena Resort that’s turning heads online.

The Amanjena Resort is located on Jalan Pengkalan Balak, which is a 45-minute drive from popular attractions in Melaka such as Jonker Street.Â
While there’re plenty of resorts dotting Melaka’s scenic coast, this resort’s accommodations are housed in a whitewashed building that looks just like cubiform houses that are synonymous with those you find in Santorini, Greece.

The visuals of the whole resort looks so much like the Santorini that you can even snap photos that’ll bluff your friends into thinking you’re on vacation in Greece.Â

No resort is complete without a swimming pool, which is why The Amanjena Resort also has one for your weekend getaway under the sun. But if that’s not enough beach vibes for you, you’ll be glad to know that Pantai Pengkalan Balak Melaka, which is a family-friendly beach, is located just a 5-minute drive away from the resort.Â

Cosy rooms with sea and pool views
While the exterior of The Amanjena Resort is certainly next-level, the resort’s rooms are just as picturesque – which explains why this resort is fully booked out for the next 2 weekends.Â
