It’s not hard to see why EL&N is often heralded as one of the most Instagrammable cafes in the world. Irresistibly chic and decked in pastel pinks, the cafe has since expanded to Asia with a new outlet in Malaysia at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur – which means KL-ites have another eye-catching brunch spot option in the city.

A new cafe on the block that has been quickly garnering attention among cafe-goers is Opera Cafe & Lounge – aptly named due to their decadent interior which features shades of soft pink, opulent gold trimmings, and neon lights crafted into inspirational quotes.

Their menu comprises Western and Middle Eastern dishes that are rich with flavours. For pastries, there are interesting ones such as Croissant with Zaatar (RM37) and Tartine (RM42) with roasted tomatoes and avocado.
Heartier brunch specials include Ultimate Breakfast Burger (RM55), loaded with hash brown, avocado, an egg, and beef bacon, and Shakshuka For Two (RM70), a signature dish that combines a rich capsicum and tomato sauce over a bed of eggs, as well as a side of Arabic bread or toast.

Hotpot places tend to feature traditional Chinese interiors, but Beauty In The Pot stands out from the crowd with their modern and hue-themed outlets at Tropicana Gardens Mall and The Gardens Mall in Klang Valley. At the latter, you’ll find pink cushioned seats and even a pink flower bear at the entrance.

If Petaling Street is your favourite weekend haunt, you’ve probably stumbled across The Hungry Tapir before. It’s another vegetarian- and vegan-friendly cafe on the list that has become popular among hungry KL-ites for its menu that features Western cuisine and cocktails all with a local flair.

While the main floor of this cafe boasts eclectic vibes, with open-bricked walls and vintage furniture, there’s also a rooftop dining space that features salmon-pink walls layered with tropical motifs.
You can grab a spot up here while sipping on a series of cocktails from their in-house bar, Haus of Lihing. They specialise in vintage Lihing (RM60), or Malaysian rice wines originally from Sabah, as well as beautifully decorated cocktails such as Pina Colada (RM36) and Elderflower Paloma (RM24).

7. Yoohoo Dessert Cafe – kakigori with a local twist

Desserts and pinks go together as well as pancakes and maple syrup does. Yoohoo Dessert Cafe, a dessert cafe in Bukit Raja, proves this to be true with their dusty pink walls and gorgeously plated desserts.

While the cafe is known for their legit Kelantanese food, you’ll want to give their waffles and kakigori a try. Their sweet waffles and toasts (from RM14.90) come topped with almost everything sweet you can imagine, including chocolate marshmallow, peanut butter, honey berries, and mozzarella cheese.
