A fish and chips spot run by a father-son duo from Singapore, Lad & Dad sits at a quieter corner of Wisma Cosway. But it’s not undiscovered by any means, with tables packed with diners during lunch and dinner hours.

The fish and chips here are made with Perch (RM29.90) or premium Haddock (RM51.90) from Norway. You get the classic mushy peas and chips on the side, and a choice of condiments from a strong lineup. Go for the ones with a local twist, the spicy tartar and sambal aioli, as these are hard finds elsewhere and perfect for anyone who likes a kick and a surprise.

This eatery serves up hearty Thai-style beef noodles starting from RM16.90, which are worth the wait if you happen to bump into the lunch crowd. Expect thick, tender beef slices paired with silky noodles and a rich, aromatic broth that hits all the right flavour notes.

3. Wild Sheep Chase

Vegan-friendly sushi


For a meal that completely ditches the meat, head to nommeco. This vegan-friendly gem on the third floor of Wisma Cosway serves fully vegan sushi, that is, no meat, dairy products, or eggs are involved in the making of their sushi.

Sets of 8 sushi start from RM18.40, making it both a healthy and affordable option. You can find plant-based Unagi Nigiri, Tuna Uramaki, and Ground Beef Gunkan on the menu. Their sauces are also vegan-friendly and made by the owner of the restaurant himself.
