New album after a two-year hiatus

This expansive world tour announcement comes less than two weeks after Blackpink announced a comeback single, titled Pink Venom, set to be released on 19th August 2022 after a two-year long hiatus.

For the uninitiated, Blackpink debuted in 2016 and have since gained success with their banging tunes and show-stopping performances – songs such as How You Like That, Kill This Love, and DDU-DU DDU-DU may ring a bell. They’ve also collaborated with international artists, including Selena Gomez and Dua Lipa.

Though the group’s hiatus has made fans extra eager for their return, each of the girls have been focusing on solo activities to connect with their fans – Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have released solo singles, while Jisoo took up an acting gig in a drama. The group also represents luxury brands as global ambassadors.
