If you happen to spot a couple of Hollywood stars posing with monkeys at Batu Caves or slurping up curry laksa at a local eatery, it isn’t your eyes playing tricks on you. Much to the excitement of local fans, actress and actor Lana Condor and Ross Butler – both known for their roles in Netflix’s To All The Boys franchise – have been sharing on Instagram photos of them doing just that in Kuala Lumpur.

The pair is said to be in the capital for the shoot of an upcoming romantic comedy movie.

Malaysians were in for a surprise when Hollywood actress Lana Condor first uploaded a series of pictures on her verified Instagram account of her happily devouring a bowl of curry laksa, along with a quirky caption: “Noodle monster always strikes with vengeance 👹 // id like to bathe in this curry laksa plz (sic)”.

Additional shots of our iconic Petronas Twin Tower, with the Kuala Lumpur location tags, on Condor’s post solidified the fact that the star was indeed in the capital of Malaysia – sending local fans abuzz with delight.

The To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star continued to document her time in the city by sharing more Instagram photos several days later – this time, a picture of her posing with fellow actor Ross Butler in front of Batu Caves.

Condor also expressed her excitement to be working on a new movie, called Worth The Wait, in the post. The new movie will be filmed partially in KL – which explains why the Hollywood stars have been frolicking about the city.

The Asian-American Hollywood heartthrob did not miss out on documenting his share of fun in Malaysia either on his Instagram page. Posing next to a monkey on the steps of Batu Caves, Butler captioned the hilarious selfie with: “Daddy long neck starstruck in KL” – to which Condor replied with, “My literal nightmare”.

The 33-year-old actor – who is best known for his role as Zach Dempsey in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why – also shared pictures of him and Condor having a blast at presumably their hotel’s rooftop pool, and another at a golf range. Similarly to Condor, Butler dedicated a “chaotic” caption along with the post to promote their upcoming movie.
