M&G LIFE at Pavilion Bukit Jalil
Most Malaysians can be sorted into two camps on the weekends: the ones spending their paychecks on food and the others splurging on adorbs goods that prove money may just be able to buy us happiness.
If you fall in the latter group, there’s a new store with aisles of quirky blind boxes, stationery, plushies, and accessories to check out in KL – M&G LIFE, a lifestyle brand headquartered in Shanghai, China, that just opened its first Malaysian store at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
We checked out the store to bring you this guide on what you can browse and buy there.

What is M&G LIFE?
M&G LIFE, abbreviated from Meet Good Life, is a lifestyle brand that mainly carries products from M&G Stationery, a leading stationery brand in China. The brand recently made its debut in Malaysia, with outlets also found in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.
Their first Malaysian store, at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on the 2nd floor, may seem small on the outside, but don’t let the storefront deceive you. Shelves are stocked with a wide variety of lifestyle products that’ll appeal to blind box enthusiasts, the plushie-obsessed, scrapbookers, and anyone who retail-therapies on quirky finds.
What to buy at M&G LIFE?
1. Blind boxes
Stationery may be their highlight, but M&G LIFE also happens to have an array of blind boxes enticingly displayed at the front of their store. We spotted figurines from beloved characters such as Mr.Pa, Molinta, FARMER BOB, Fatty Tiger, Maltese, mofusand, and more, with boxes priced between RM40-RM80 each.
There’s also a corner dedicated to Disney blind boxes, including packs of LILO & Stitch, Lots-o’, and The Aristocrats.
The blind-box thrills extend beyond collectibles, with more practical items, including stationery, metal badges, and DIY bracelets sold in blind packs too.
2. Collabs with popular brands
If you adore characters such as Snoopy, Twinkle Twinkle, Moomin, and Miffy, and the Japan-famous OSAMU GOODS, you can find a good collection of items bearing their illustrations at M&G LIFE.
We found adorable Snoopy plushies (from RM31.90), Moomin planners and sticky notes (from RM8.90), Miffy phone and tablet stands (from RM35.90), and Twinkle Twinkle mugs (from RM29.60) that are all reasonably priced for their quality and design.
OSAMU GOODS, with its cute characters Jack and Jill, the cat, and the little dog all feature on goods like pens and pencils, denim bags, portable fans, and acrylic keychains.
3. Stationery
You don’t have to be a student to enjoy the feeling of purchasing a new pencil or pencil case. M&G LIFE might just convince you to bring home a pack of pencils, correction tape, and a notepad with how adorable their designs are.
Spot bread-themed notepads, 200-piece pencil leads, flower-themed pencil sets, and tiny, furry notebooks that’ll heal your inner child who could only live by the basic 2B or HB pencils.
As for scrapbookers, there are washi tapes, wooden stamps, sticker packs, markers, and pens to browse.
4. Hair accessories
Claw and hair clips go beyond the usual designs here, and are worth checking out even if they aren’t a must-have item in your bag. Those who love girly Y2K aesthetics will be ecstatic to find cute claw clips shaped like furry creatures, and metal hair clips are available to those who lean towards the darker, Y3K style.
5. Plush pouches, keychains & cushions
These days, it’s hard to find anyone carrying a bag that doesn’t have a keychain attached to it. Join the club, or shop another one, with the collection of plush pouches and keychains of everything from animals to produce at M&G LIFE.
If cushions are more your thing, the offerings here also bear cute designs of animals and fruits.
6. Crochet flowers & DIY plant kits
Whether you have a green or black thumb, you’ll find a match here. We found hassle-free potted crochet flowers (RM48.90/each) like roses and tulips and DIY wooden bloom craft kits (RM28/each) to assemble sunflowers and lilacs.
Or, challenge yourself with a plant-growing kit, Growing Plant Barrel (RM56.90), that includes all the essentials to help you grow your first plant, like soil and seeds in a convenient extra-large barrel.
