Dior pop-up & cafe at Desaru Coast
It’s summer all year round in Malaysia – and as on all sunny days, nothing sounds better than being at the beach or lounging by the pool with an ice-cold drink in hand.
Bringing a slice of endless summer paradise to One&Only Desaru Coast in Johor is Dior’s Dioriviera pop-up. From now till 6th August 2023, the luxury brand is inviting the public to experience its new Dioriviera capsule collection by the pool.
The free-entry pop-up is complete with gorgeous photo spots and a cafe where you can have lunch, tea, and desserts – basically, a chance for you and your besties to play tai tai.
A pink riviera with sun loungers, a ping pong table & a cafe

The House of Dior needs no introduction. Best known for their luxury bags, the fashion brand has a new collection called Diorviera. With its launch comes a dreamy pop-up with soft hues of pinks and greys that’s open to all at One&Only Desaru Coast.

The pop-up has transformed the resort’s Ember Beach Club into a pastel-pink riviera, where guests can experience a beach getaway dressed up with quintessential Dior aesthetics.
Taking centre stage is a spectacular structure with a sandy facade, adorned with magnificent sculptures of giraffes and lions that blend seamlessly with the building and the white sands of Desaru.

Scattered around the beach and by the poolside are lounge chairs under huge matching parasols bearing the brand’s ubiquitous porcelain motif – the Toile de Jouy Sauvage.

Besides being a fantastic backdrop for photos, Dior’s pop-up in Malaysia blends together fashion and fun. Find a ping pong table on the white powdery sand against a row of pink-and-grey cabanas, and even a pink mahjong table to feel like Eleanor Young in Crazy Rich Asians.

There is also a Cafe Dior by the poolside, where you can sample Maison-inspired dishes with subtle influences of Malaysian flavours. These were specially curated and crafted by celebrated local chef, Raymond Tham. The cafe opens from 10.30am to 9pm, and is available for reservations for either lunch or tea and desserts.

Shop for elegant wardrobe essentials and home decor items
When you are done snapping Instagram-worthy pictures of the classy pop-up to flaunt on your social media, it’s time for a shopping spree. Be entranced by the display of Dior’s summer collection by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, which features a range of Dioriviera’s ready-to-wear line.

Covered in the beloved Toile de Jouy Sauvage print in feminine pink, some re-imagined signatures in the collection include Dior Silk Tops and scarves, Lady Dior Wicker bag, Dior Book Tote bag, and Lady D-Lite – all of which are displayed alluringly on the shelves.

Fitting in with those are beach essentials and lifestyle items, including yoga mats, surfboards, ping pong sets, as well as decorative objects, tableware, placemats, and embroidered cushions.
