For Penangites who want to live out their racing dreams legally and safely in the state, you’re in luck. There’s a new go-karting circuit in Batu Kawan, Penang, called Kart Hauz that is unlike the usual go-kart spots you’re used to seeing – they’re located on the rooftop of a mall.
Newly opened rooftop go-kart track
Located on the rooftop, or sixth floor, of Design Village Outlet Mall in Batu Kawan, Kart Hauz is a new go-karting circuit that opened their doors to racing enthusiasts this February 2022.

Spanning 80,000 square feet, Kart Hauz has an impressive 350-metre racing track with thrilling twists and turns that’s sure to keep you on your toes while you challenge your friends to a race.
They occupy an open-air car parking space on Design Village’s rooftop, so racers can enjoy an exhilarating go-karting experience with spectacular views of mountains and the mall’s surroundings as a backdrop to their race.

As a family- and beginner-friendly racing track, Kart Hauz ensure that their patrons are safe by regularly servicing their karts and providing safety equipment such as helmets and gloves for riders.
Those with little ones can rest at ease while the whole fam takes on a friendly race.

They also operate till 11PM, so you can consider racing under the stars in the cool night breeze here too.

A thrilling race track with a spectacular view
Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a newbie looking to have some fun, Kart Hauz has all the facilities for an adventurous time. So if you’re looking for a weekend activity to get your adrenaline pumping, consider dropping by this new go-kart spot for a race with your besties or fam.
Depending on the duration of the race, prices for adult riders aged 18 and over starts from RM50/10 minutes. Likewise, rides for kids starts from RM35/10 minutes.
