The story of Syazwani Adnan and her sick husband, Shahrul Liza, went viral on Tiktok when Syazwani posted a video on 9th October 2021 of her daily routine caring for Shahrul who had a stroke.

The video garnered more than 600,000 views, and netizens who watched the video were curious to know what had happened and so they asked Syazwani the story behind the viral video. Syazwani responded to the commenters, saying that her husband suffered a sudden stroke, causing him to have difficulties in his movement and speech.

Following an overwhelming amount of response from people, she then posted several other videos on her TikTok channel, sharing some of her daily routine caring for Shahrul while telling people about his recovery journey.

Syazwani who spoke to Harian Metro earlier had also said that her husband suffered a stroke when he accidentally fell down in the office toilet on 3rd August 2021, causing the right side of his body to not function properly. Since then, Syazwani has taken on her husband’s responsibilities to care for the family while ensuring his recovery from the accident.

When asked by a netizen the exact cause of the stroke, Syazwani wrote that it could be because her husband is a workaholic who spends much time in front of the computer working and he enjoys playing video games.

The exact cause of his stroke is not known but as doctors told her, it could be because of the lack of sleep which resulted in sudden bleeding in the brain. But Shahrul is now making good progress from the condition as he no longer needs a wheelchair to move around.
