Thrift shops in Klang Valley

Now that more people are shopping at thrift shops instead of shopping malls, many of us are being reintroduced to the idea of buying pre-loved items.

The only thing that might hinder you from hopping on the bandwagon is that thrift shops tend to have a bad rep for being messy and unkempt. Though this may be true for a lot of bundle stores, there are plenty others where clean clothes are colour-coordinated on racks and organised neatly, so you don’t have to weasel your way out of tight spaces and rummage through piles of clothes.

Here’s where to head to for your next thrift shopping spree:

1. OkGo Store – boho chic aesthetics & curated looks

Nestled in the second floor of unassuming shoplots in SS18, OkGo has the look and feel of an indie boutique. From the bright pops of pastel rattan chairs to the Persian rug as a centerpiece, their interior itself will win you over from the get-go.

As a curated thrift shop, it means that they’re selective with what they choose to sell. Despite the exclusivity, you only need a budget of about RM100 for a new addition to your wardrobe.

If you’re into retro-inspired looks, rest assured you’ve got your next OOTD covered.

They have an array of colourful jackets and printed shirts that can snazz up any outfit with minimal effort too. If you’re looking to step up your fashion game and make a bold statement, you can check out their accessories ranging from tiny sunglasses to belts.
