Nestled in the heart of Pekan Sekinchan is Padi Sentral – a homestay housed within a 4-storey industrial building with bare grey concrete walls. Its modern and contemporary design is nicely foiled by sprawling paddy fields that surround its four walls, seeming to stretch as far as the eye can see.

Inside the homestay are a collection of minimalist yet cosy air-conditioned rooms, each one featuring a private bathroom with hot shower and amenities, as well as complimentary WiFi and a TV.Â
But the highlight of each room are the large windows that overlook the iconic paddy fields. You can start your day waking up to the gentle waving paddies right outside the window – a rare visual treat for city folks.
