Yo-Chi opens in Malaysia this December
We can never say no to ice-cold desserts in always-sunny Malaysia. This December, everyone in Malaysia can look forward to scooping up frozen yoghurt from bowls delivered to us by the Australian-beloved Yo-Chi, which makes its way from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur with its first local branch.
What is Yo-Chi?

You might have heard of Yo-Chi – many of our neighbours down south in Singapore have been happily lining up for desserts from the Australian frozen yoghurt chain, which opened its first outpost there in 2025.
But in case you haven’t, the chain is best known for its froyo in an array of flavours, with patrons able to fill up bowls of yoghurt self-service style, in a pay-per-weight format – in other words, you’ll be charged based on the weight of what you take, so keep that in mind before you go heavy-handed on the toppings.
In a social media post shared on 22nd September 2026, Yo-Chi announced that it will be setting up its first outlet in Malaysia in KL this December, at The Exchange TRX.
What to expect from Yo-Chi

Based on their Singapore branches, Malaysians can expect a range of 10 yoghurt flavours, including their signature AçaÃ. All of the flavours are made with real Australian milk and are said to be lower in calories, 98% fat-free, and packed with probiotics.

Besides its lineup of froyo flavours, you’ll find a cornucopia of toppings ranging from fresh fruits and mochi to edible cookie dough for you to customise your own froyo. And if that’s not enough, you can also drizzle warm sauces like peanut butter, Biscoff, and Nutella onto your frozen yoghurt bowl.

If you’re looking to up the ante on the sweetness, customers can crown their dessert bowl with Yo-Chi’s signature cake squares.

With any new openings in Malaysia, a long queue and a huge crowd are usually part and parcel of the grand opening of anything that’s first in the country. With froyo on the horizon, waiting for us at the end of the queue, it might just be totally worth it.
