If you’ve been having #fomo feels from being so close yet so far to the LINE Friends pop-up stores in Indonesia and the Philippines – as well as the LINE Friends world tour installations in Singapore – you can finally stop, fellow Malaysians!
LINE Friends is finally opening a pop-up store here on 20th December 2019 at Sunway Pyramid. Besides Brown and his friends, there’ll be BT21 merch for BTS Army and anyone who wants to get their hands on the adorable goodies the store will be carrying – from plushies to notebooks.

What to expect at the pop-up store

With Brown and his friends getting their own animated series on Netflix, and BT21 having their own “universe” on YouTube, you can expect swirling lines of passionate fans all waiting in line at this new store, located just across ZARA and next to Inside Scoop at the Centre Court in Sunway Pyramid.
While the official list of merchandise is not out yet, we’re predicting you can get everything from house slippers to phone cases, plush keychains to pillow cushions, and socks to tote bags here. And based on prices from the pop-up store in the Philippines and Indonesia, we expect a pillow cushion to be going for around RM120, and a plush keychain for around RM60.

Those hardcore enough to brave the crowds and be the first 100 people to show up during the store’s opening week – or minutes, rather – will receive exclusive gifts. Those who queued up during the first week of the Philippines’ pop-up store’s opening received BT21 balloons – so you can expect to receive something similar if you’re in this exclusive group.

As for how long this pop-up store will stay open in Malaysia, it all depends on your support for the store. Facebook user Sarah Lee raised this question in Sunway Pyramid’s Facebook page, asking, “How long would the pop-up store be opened for?” To which Sunway Pyramid responded: “About one to two months depending on your support to them (winking emoji)”.

If you’re a BT21 or LINE Friends lover, you’ll definitely want to head over to the pop-up store at Sunway Pyramid on its opening day, Friday (20th December 2019), and show your love and support for the characters. Your enthusiasm might just convince LINE Friends to open up a permanent store in Malaysia.
