Ralph Lauren may be known for their classic polo shirts and cashmere sweaters. But the US fashion brand also happens to serve delectable cakes and freshly-brewed coffee from their coffee shop, Ralph’s Coffee, in notable cities such as New York City, Hong Kong and Paris.

Now, there’s a new Ralph’s Coffee outlet in Kuala Lumpur with the same quaint hunter-green shopfront so easily recognisable on the streets of New York – where the cafe first opened their doors. At their Malaysian outlet, you can shop for clothes and Ralph’s Coffee’s merch, and grab a cup of coffee and a bite of cake after shopping.

The entrance to the newly-opened Ralph’s Coffee in Pavilion KL is nothing short of perfectly charming. There’s the neon Ralph’s Coffee sign at the shopfront’s facade – a staple at the cafe’s worldwide outlets, including four in New York, two in Europe and nine in Asia-Pacific.

Painted a rich shade of hunter-green with gold accents, the doors to the coffee shop’s KL outlet is a great spot for photos while you wait for your takeaway coffee. It also leads to a cosy dining area in one corner, and into a Polo Ralph Lauren outlet at the back.

The dining space is pretty small – there are currently only two tables available. But the coffee shop’s vintage decor, comprising emerald and white tiles, old-timey wall poster and a life-sized and well-dressed Ralph Lauren teddy bear, make up for it.

At a booth seating area, you can get cosy with a hot cuppa and snap pics for the ‘Gram.

At the all-white coffee bar – which takes up the most space inside the coffee shop – you can order up treats such as coffee drinks with variations of milk and delectable cakes.

Ralph’s Coffee uses organically-grown beans roasted by La Colombe, a popular coffee roaster from the US. Try out their speciality blends in their coffee-based drinks – there are 9 different types of them here, including the classics like Americano (RM14), Latte (RM17) and Matcha Latte (RM19), which are also available iced for an additional fee.

Opt to switch out the dairy milk with oat, almond or soy milk for RM3.

Else, there are non-caffeinated drinks such as Hot Chocolate (RM19) and a selection of teas (RM15) with flavours such as Paris, Chamomile and American Breakfast.

Pair these with their signature sweet treats. There’s the decadent Ralph Brownie (RM16) and crowd-favourite layered Coconut Cake (RM28). Or dig into a variety of rich cookies (RM16/each) – peanut butter raspberry, oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip.

A shelf of Ralph’s Coffee merchandise – all with hunter-green accents and their ubiquitous teddy bear mascot – will surely entice followers of Ralph Lauren and its coffee shop. Items for sale include homeware such as plates (RM120/each), reusable cup (RM180) and Ralph’s Coffee Bottle (RM170).

Ralph Lauren opens new coffee shop in Pavilion KL

There are plenty of coffee shops in KL – consider dropping by Ralph’s Coffee if you’re looking for a new place that serves good coffee and sweet treats. You can find them on the third floor of Pavilion KL, opening from 10am-10pm daily.
