BlackCamp in Petaling Jaya
Romantic date nights don’t always have to mean having dinner at an atas restaurant. There are plenty of casual cafes in our neighbourhood that serve up just as glamorous vibes without the hefty prices for a filling meal. Enter this new cafe, BlackCamp, in Petaling Jaya. They serve Western mains in a tastefully decorated space comprising camping-style seats and a huge moon “chandelier” that’ll make for a dreamy date night.

Sometimes, we just want to get away from the city and escape to the countryside for a night well-spent under the stars.
At BlackCamp, a restaurant-cum-bar located in Damansara Jaya, you’ll have a slice of this with their camping-style seats and a hanging moon chandelier that’ll make you feel as if you’re dining outdoors under the moonlight.

Besides being a romantic spot for date nights with your SO, you can consider this spot for your next get-together too. The restobar has tables that can accommodate groups of up to 10 diners – so whether you’re celebrating a special occasion with loved ones, or just hanging out with your friends, there’ll be plenty of room at the table for everyone.
A plus is the high ceilings at BlackCamp, which helps open up the space so you won’t feel squished while dining.

The restobar opens from 4pm onwards, and features a gorgeous looking stone-like bar, where bartenders serve pints of cold beer such as Connors (RM20) and KB 1664 (RM30).
On selected weekday and weekend nights, BlackCamp also hosts live band performances by local acts at 8.30pm.

BlackCamp’s ambience is a highlight among patrons, but you’ll also find a menu of Western and Asian cuisines to feast on while you’re here. Their Western menu features dishes such as Tomahawk Pork Chop (RM59) – tender and sweet pork belly served with fries – and Mac & Cheese (RM22), as well as Mexican-Style BlackCamp Pork Taco (RM26).

For something with a local touch, there’s the BlackCamp Nasi Lemak (RM26) with lemak rice and spicy sambal.
